Certifications
SMETA CERTIFICATION - SMETA is Sedex’s social auditing methodology that assesses supplier and manufacturing sites to understand working conditions in the supply chain, responsible business practices, and overall social compliance. SMETA monitors suppliers' standards for labor, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics. Factory audits are conducted periodically as part of the SMETA certification process, and living wage considerations are included. Living wage criteria are also outlined in our code of conduct, which all suppliers agree to and sign.
SGS CERTIFICATION - Attaining SGS certification signifies that a product adheres to rigorous quality and safety standards. This certification enhances confidence in the product by guaranteeing its quality, safety, and compliance with international benchmarks.
BCI COTTON CERTIFICATION - Licensed BCI Farmers produce cotton while caring for the environment, minimizing the negative effects of fertilizers and pesticides, and promoting water, soil health, and natural habitats. This is what we refer to as “Better Cotton.” BCI Farmers also commit to decent work principles that support workers' safety and well-being.
GOTS CERTIFICATION - The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading worldwide textile processing standard for organic fibers, taking into account every step in the supply chain. The standard aims to define globally recognized requirements that ensure the ecological integrity of textiles, from the harvesting of raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, up to labeling, providing credible assurance to the end consumer.
OKEO-TEX CERTIFICATION - OEKO-TEX® aims to ensure safety from harmful chemicals from a consumer perspective. Many people overlook the potential negative effects of harmful chemicals in fabrics. Extensive product checks and regular on-site company visits ensure the industry maintains a globally sustainable awareness of responsible chemical use. The OEKO-TEX® Standard has been a pioneering force in this area for many years.

We’re proud to be part of a global movement alongside over 2,000 organizations in more than 45 countries.
SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION - At Amanda Maria, we believe in slow fashion and are committed to avoiding overconsumption. We produce on an indent-only basis and maintain minimal stock levels to reduce waste. Our products are made from high-quality materials designed to stand the test of time.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING & SHIPPING - Sustainability extends to our packaging. We primarily use recycled plastics for our poly bags and biodegradable materials for our mailers, while all our shipping boxes are made from recyclable cardboard. For larger shipments, we prioritize sea freight to minimize our carbon footprint and consolidate shipments whenever possible. This approach reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing waste and environmental impact in every aspect of our business.
